You start by sending us information that you want on your website, including photographs, text, and item prices. We design your site with you to showcase your products, optimizing the site so that search engines such as Google can easily find your products when a related keyword is entered.

• obtain and manage one domain name (included in site design fee) if you do not already own one;
• install the appropriate shopping software:
• integrate and test the chosen payment and shipping systems;
• upload all product information;
• set up custom email addresses and forwarders as required;
• optimize your photographs for web viewing (cropping, straightening, adjusting color and brightness) and rapid download, even for viewers on dial-up service;
• prepare W3 standards-compliant code for all pages;
• set up your website space and upload your files;
• include custom keyword and description fields to help search engines find your site more easily;
• test all pages in the four major browsers to be certain that the site looks and works the same in each;
• check all links to be sure they are active and unbroken;
• submit your newly-completed site to major search engines;
• maintain an archive copy of the completed site;

Sample Shopping Cart (PayPal): Pisces Moon Art Quilts

Pisces Moon Art Quilts is Carol's own site to showcase and sell her artwork. Because she does not sell pieces on a daily basis or offer items of varying weights for which a total must be calculated, she does not require a full shopping cart. For her needs, PayPal is adequate and low in cost.

For those who don't wish to deal with PayPal, there are other similar systems such as Google Payments or a new payment system through Amazon.com which do not require you to open a merchant account in order to accept credit cards. We will work with you to recommend the best system for your needs.

Sample Shopping Cart (SunShop): Cedar Canyon Textiles

Cedar Canyon Textiles Inc. is the US distributor for Shiva Paintstik products and sells Paintstiks, books, DVDs, and patterns to both retail and wholesale customers through its website. Shipments of varied weight and size go out daily by US Mail and United Parcel Service. Cedar Canyon needs a fully integrated shopping cart system capable of calculating total shipping charges on any combination of merchandise, providing for wholesale and retail prices for the same product, and integrating completely with an online payment service in order to accept and process credit card payments instantaneously.

For this site, we installed and customized SunShop, a robust commercial software package with all the features needed by Cedar Canyon. Other shopping software packages are also available, and we will evaluate your needs and recommend a solution suited to your site and your budget.
