I want to decide exactly how it looks and do the updates myself - but I don't know how to set it up.

You make the decisions on color, font style, and layout — we turn it into clean, W3-compliant code and install it in your web space.

You start by drawing your design on paper or in a computer program to show us what you want. Decide how many pages you need and what goes on each. Provide us with all the information including text and photographs. Photo editing services are available if you need them.

We will

• prepare all code and upload your files;
• install the content management system best suited to your situation (see below);
• test all pages in the four major browsers to be certain that the site looks and works the same in each;
• check each page for compliance with W3 standards;
• check all links to be sure they are active and unbroken;
• turn over the site to you when you accept it as completed under our agreement;
• maintain an archive copy of the completed site (but not subsequent changes made by you);
• always be available for additional help or modifications at our normal rates once the site is completed.

Content management:  We have several options available that allow you to make your own updates to the site. Some require more up-front programming and will cost more initially, while others are less expensive but may require more technical skill on your part. Each potential solution is evaluated and recommended based on your skills and available time; your best option and its initial cost will therefore be custom-tailored to your situation.
